eINTEROP™ Product Suite
The eINTEROP product suite is composed of a graphical interface, called myShipVI™, and the Interoperability Framework (I/F), which allows multiple disparate systems to communicate.
myShipVI incorporates drawings, photographs, and three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) models to create a precise rendering of the product, allowing users to virtually move about and retrieve information through a point-and-click technique. As users touch a specific system, component, or equipment piece, myShipVI displays key data and related document links, including technical manuals, training documents, maintenance procedures, service schedules and records, diagrams, and part lists. This interface provides users, as well as other applications, with a single point of access to all relevant, integrated data from multiple sources, systems, and repositories.
The I/F is a flexible, open, non-intrusive, and extensible common platform from multiple interoperating systems, providing users with data in a single presentation. While this approach does require adapter development for each data source, once written, the data then plugs and plays with the I/F, therefore eliminating further interface development from or to that system.
